Wm. Chad Betis

Chad Bettis is a Greenwood Attorney and is the senior partner at Ayers, Smithdeal & Bettis Law Firm. He was born and raised in South Carolina. After graduating from Easley High School, he earned his undergraduate degree from The University of South Carolina, where he studied economics and business. Chad earned his law degree from Samford University – Cumberland School of Law with a focus on trial advocacy.

Chad has been practicing law in South Carolina since 1995. He focuses primarily in the areas of Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, Workers’ Compensation, Social Security, Real Estate Transactions, Wills and Estates and Criminal Defense.

Elizabeth “Libby” Smithdeal

Libby Smithdeal has been practicing law since 1991, focusing primarily on personal injury, wills and estate planning, probate administration, and real estate. Prior to joining Ayers, Smithdeal, & Bettis, PC, Libby was an Assistant Solicitor for the Eighth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Libby is a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Columbia College where she majored in Public Affairs and was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society. She attended Emory University School of Law and upon graduation returned to South Carolina to work as a Judicial Law Clerk for a Circuit Judge.

Libby is married to Joe and they have five children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She is also active in her church.
